DevOps / Security Engineer

Role

We’re looking for a DevOps / Security Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments and can build, secure, and scale the infrastructure that powers Oasys.

You’ll work closely with our CTO and engineering team to design and operate the systems that ensure our platform is reliable, secure, and compliant as we scale. From infrastructure automation to security hardening and monitoring, you will play a central role in building the operational backbone of the company.

This is a rare opportunity to join a venture-backed health tech startup at its earliest stage, with significant ownership and impact on the company’s technical foundation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure across our cloud environment (GCP).
• Implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
• Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance through monitoring and alerting.
• Lead security best practices across the stack, including secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability monitoring.
• Help design and maintain systems that meet HIPAA, SOC2, and healthcare data security requirements.
• Manage containerized services and multi-container orchestration across environments.
• Secure and monitor APIs, authentication flows, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to support production systems and improve developer workflows.
• Respond to incidents, implement safeguards, and continuously improve system resilience.
• Establish operational and security best practices as the company scales.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, security engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with security best practices, secrets management, IAM policies, and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience supporting production SaaS systems with high reliability requirements.
• Understanding of API security, authentication systems, and data privacy principles.
• Comfort working in fast iteration cycles with high ownership and autonomy.
• Interest in healthcare, data security, or mission-driven technology.
